  Man, I can't recommend this thing enough. My building has a problem with the heat. It runs, so nobody dies and the pipes don't freeze, but that's about it. I have layers and flannel lined jeans and stuff, but my hands are still cold, and when you sit somewhere for 8 hours, the cold seeps through multiple layers. We aren't really supposed to have space heaters, and I didn't want to spend much money on something I was going to leave at work and might only need for a short period of time. (I mean, they are working on the heat. I'm sure it will be fixed someday.) So, I bought this tiny little space heater on special. My plan was to stick it under my desk where no one could see it and just take the edge off the cold. That didn't really work out. This thing pushes out heat. I don't just mean it gets hot. It does, but whatever it does also moves that heat around. There's a fan. It doesn't really seem to blow much air, but man, it circulates that heat. I got delusions of grandeur and I moved it to the plugin in the corner under the window and aimed it diagonally across my office. Sure enough, I could make the whole space warmer. It's like 15' x 10' with a weird curved wall on one side. The little heater lets you do different settings. I didn't read the manual or anything but I got the gist of the digital numbers on the front. If I set it to 74 degrees, my office is 74 degrees and not slowly either. In like 5 minutes the whole office. If I set to 78 it's 78. I decided to mess around and put the thing on 90. It was so hot I was sweating. I could make that thing a sauna if I wanted to. And it just sits there. Quiet. Tiny. You wouldn't even know it was there if you didn't go looking for it because there was a 20 degree difference when you walked through the doorway. When somebody complained about it getting left on overnight and wasting electricity or catching on fire, I showed them the timer I set every morning to ensure it was safely turned off as soon as my feet hit the parking lot. I have people come by asking me what kind it is because they can feel the heat as they walk by in the hallway or they heard about it. Others have heaters that work just as well, but they are like 4 feet tall and then twist back and forth and sound like a big fan in the corner. The space around the heater gets hot but there are cold spots. Weaksauce. I've had it for just about 3 months now with no issues. Seriously. This was a total accident. I bought this to me a temporary, disposable, make do, solution to a cold office and it turned out to be an awesome find. Get one. I've got two more on order.   I've used the Dreo for 3 days and really like it! It's the quietest space heater I've every had and I've had several. I use the H3 setting to warm my bedroom (17 by 14 feet) for about 30 minutes before I go to bed. I put it off once I'm in bed with the remote! In the morning a I put my house heat up and I run the Dreo at H2 until it gets as warm as I like about 75 in the bedroom as I do my things in this room. I love that I can turn it off and on etc. with a remote. I bought a Pelonis a year ago. It's been unreliable from the get go. Very sensitive to being level, so I'd had to tap it to get it to light on even when I turned the controls on. Recently the mechanical control for heat level stopped working, so I ordered the Dreo. I'm grateful I did. Also, I have an older Pelonis, still in use and it's great. It's base is wider and it doesn't have a tip button to stop it which I've never needed. I gave the Dreo a 4 because when I use it in temperature mode, it doesn't warm my room to that temperature. I think it just warms itself to that temperature. I have a hygrometer in my bedroom that gives me the temp along with the humidity. When I'm running the space heater, it dries the air, so I have a humidifier running too, 24 x 7 in the winter.   I love this heater. I work at a desk all day and have Raynaud's (perpetually cold hands). I set this little thing on the floor about 3 feet away and it packs a punch! I am on Zoom constantly and also needed a quiet heater. I can hardly hear this on the low setting - I haven't even needed higher settings. What's nice is you can set it at a desired temp and it automatically shuts off when it reaches that temp. Then turns on again when needed. Definitely worth the purchase. One person found this

  This heater is perfect for cold winters and even when it just gets a little too cold out-of-season. I've had absolutely no issues after a couple months of using it. The safety of it is great, you can lock the buttons to prevent your children from pressing any of them, it will shut off automatically if tipped over, and is overall a relatively safe heater. It also has a 30 second timer when turned off to give the fans time to cool off and shut down correctly. It comes with three modes. Eco mode - You can set a temperature for it to turn off at, and when it drops below a range of the temperature you set, it will turn on again and raise the temperature back to what you set it. This is great for saving power and not having it run all the time. Heating modes - The heater features three heating modes, H1, H2, and H3. H1 is the lowest mode you can get, and it's still a very powerful setting. I normally never go up from this mode, as I usually just do not need to. H2 and H3 are just stronger, and hotter. Fan mode - In this mode, the fans spin, but the heating element is not turned on. It's a pretty weak fan, and I don't think this mode has much use, as I have almost never used it. The heater features a nice LED screen that turns on through the metal band near the top in the front of the heater. This makes it very visible in darker spaces, and you can see what mode you have on easily without having to go down and reach the heater to see. The buttons do not light up though, making it hard to see if you position it in a dark corner of your room.The buttons are embedded into the top of the heater, so you kind of just hover your finger over them and it will turn right on or switch modes. This heater also comes with a nice remote which has lasted me around 4 months now with little to no issues. You do have to point the remote towards the heater, but you can be pretty far away. Overall, it's a great heater for the price. It's sizeable, reliable, and the safety is basically perfect. I have had no issues with it so far. • Wow! Now this is a Space Heater

  In sticking to my policy of reviewing products that are either exceptional or a waste of money, this bad boy warrants an immediate review. Holy Crow! Exceptional! Now I know how a space heater is supposed to work. I've been loyal to a Lasko model 754200 for years, purchasing it 2-3 times in the last 9 years. After cleaning it the other day it stopped producing hot air on the low setting, AGAIN! And the high setting was nothing to write home about. This has happened before and I am sick of it. So, I searched, compared, read reviews and selected this Dreo model DR-HSH006. I never expected such fantastic results. This thing is great! It isn't a fan blowing out warmish air, it's putting out HEAT! Serious heat! I ran it for an hour this morning and the temp in my living room increased from 71 to 77 degrees! WOW! That has NEVER happened before. My HVAC doesn't even warm my place up like that! Additionally, I ran it because I got soaked from the rain. I set my shoes, socks and pants in front of it and in less than an hour they are all dry! And it wasn't even on the highest setting! It was on the middle setting H2. The Lasko would take hours to dry my shoes! Inside and out! Took less than an hour for Dreo! The model itself is a round, black colored unit, with push-buttons on top to operate. I was concerned about breakage with buttons instead of dials, but the buttons are so sensitive (not in a bad way) that just a light push or tap, or a Jedi Mind Trick garners results. Indeed, as other reviewers state, the buttons are hard to see in a poorly lit room, and they could use a white outline or illumination to see them better. However, with the results I've gotten I'll accept that trade-off. But Dreo, for next year's model make that change, customers will thank you. And Lasko, go back to the drawing board and do whatever these Dreo guys did, because you just got crushed, badly! In additon, I like the timer feature, and since this bad boy does such an effective job blasting out heat that timer is a great feature so I won't awaken to a sauna. Also, I would lay on the floor and camp in front of my Lasko to get warmed up. The heat discharge was a straight line, but not this unit. The Dreo has an expaded heat disharge zone in comparison. You can even feel it standing near the unit. Can't do that with Lasko, you'd have to be directly in front of it. Because this Dreo heats up the space so quickly and effectively, I've not even needed to fiddle with the temp setting, I can run it for a few minutes and presto, it's warm enough that I can turn the unit off. This unit will save me oodles on the electric and gas costs to run my HVAC, supplanting the need to run the HVAC so frequently. And it will save me even more electric bill money because I don't need to run this heater for hours for effective results like with my former Lasko model. Assuming nothing chages in the future, and no buttons break, or malfunctions occur, I highly recommend this space heater. Read more 114 people found this
