• Each of the 3 Heating Zones can get a Different heat level

  Size: Small My elderly mother loves this vest. Instead of wearing many bulky layers, she now wears one layer plus the vest. There are 3 zones and 3 heat levels. The BEST feature is that you can heat each of the 3 zones with a DIFFERENT heat level. We discovered that this feature is very important for comfort. When we heated all 3 zones to the same heat level, we realized we didn’t want the neck area to be as hot as the chest and abdomen areas. Other people may want the neck area to be the hottest area or you can make the lower portion of the vest the hottest area. It is up to you. The ad says the heat lasts for 6 to 10 hours on a 10,000 mAh battery (which must mean the lowest heat level) but we didn’t get 6-10 hours on the lowest heat level. Maybe it has a tiny heat after 3 hours but that heat was too low to count from our point of view. The medium heat setting lasted about 2 to 3 hours on a new fully charged 10,000 mAh battery. I think all heated vests and jackets would heat for about the same duration as the duration depends mostly on the size of the battery and the level of heat. We simply bought a second battery so when the first battery runs out, we swap batteries. The lighted controller on the chest is great and easy to use. The controller has a button for each zone. When you push a zone’s button, the button changes its color (a light inside the button) so you instantly know what heat level is set for each zone. A red button means hottest level, green means medium heat, and blue means coolest level. My elderly mom can easily use the controller. The fabric is soft. It fits perfectly and has decently sized pockets that zipper shut for extra security. The battery pack sits inside the vest in its own zipper pocket for concealment. a little trick - if you purchase a USB wire, you can use this as a plug in device for positions where you arent required to be up and walking around. • Get a snug fit to feel the heat

  Size: Small I ordered a Large for a looser fit because that’s what I prefer. I tried on my mom’s Small and it was a snug fit and the heat experience was COMPLETELY different. With a loose fit I can’t feel the heat at all. With a snug fit I can absolutely feel the heat. The wires need to be against the body to feel the heat. When this is the case, the heat output is impressive. Having heat at the back of the neck is a great feature. The vest is super lightweight and comfortable with some puff but no bulk. Without the battery I forget I’m wearing it. Even without the heat, the vest adds some warmth and is nice for fall and winter days. The material is really easy to wipe clean with a washcloth and the zippers work very smoothly. I appreciate that the operation light can be turned off while keeping the heat pumping because the light is really bright. This has been great for night hikes but while at home the light is annoying to me. A few frustrations: there are two pockets at the hips and the battery sits in one of them. I’d much prefer the battery has its own pocket inside. It’s a little awkward to have my hand or stuff in the pocket with the battery in there too. I shoveled snow off my car pretty quickly last week and was only wearing a sweatshirt and the vest (while heated) and I didn’t feel cold except I needed to get some gloves. I bought this as a gift for my mother 2 Christmases ago and got so jealous I bought one for myself. Haha. My mother is a tiny woman, 5’ and 89lbs and I bought her the size SMALL and she wears it a little oversized. If an extra small size existed, it would be more fitting on her. She likes wearing the small because she can wear bigger sweaters and sweatshirts under it and it will cover more of her hips. I am 5’2” and 125lbs (and fit. Normally wear size small clothes or 4 dresses, occasionally petite) and the size SMALL fit me well, slightly snug but not tight, and the hem hit at the high hip. I really liked how flattering it was but I decided to purchase the size MEDIUM so that I could wear it the way my Mom wears it. The hem hits at my low hip and isn’t tight.
