Cookie Policy
Effective August 18, 2026 · Last updated August 18, 2026
This Cookie Policy describes how AffiStack uses cookies and similar technologies (local storage and session storage) on https://affistack.store. Read it together with our Privacy Policy. It is a transparency notice, not legal advice.
1. What we mean by cookies
Cookies are small files a site stores on your device. We also use local storage and session storage. Together they let the site remember a sign-in, your cookie notice choice, recently viewed products, and (if you agree) traffic measurement.
First-party cookies are set by AffiStack. Third-party cookies are set by others — for example Google if analytics tags run, or Amazon after you click an affiliate link.
2. Your choices (United States)
US visitors see a cookie notice. Choosing Got it stores your preference and allows analytics cookies used to improve the site. You can still use AffiStack if you block cookies in your browser; you may have to sign in more often, and we will not get the same usage data.
We do not currently show a “reject analytics” button on the US banner. To limit analytics:
- block or delete cookies for affistack.store in your browser
- use a tracking-prevention or private-browsing mode
- clear site data, which removes
affistack_consent
We do not currently honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) or Do Not Track signals as an opt-out. Browser cookie controls are the practical method on this site.
EEA/UK visitors get a banner with Reject all. Their analytics stay off unless they accept. See the EU version of this policy when you browse in an EU locale.
3. Cookies and storage on AffiStack
Strictly necessary
affistack_session— HTTP-only cookie that keeps you logged in. About 30 days. First-party. Created when you sign in.Securein production,SameSite=Lax.affistack_consent— local storage record of the cookie notice (analyticstrue/false and a timestamp). Until you clear site data.affistack_recently_viewed— local storage list of product IDs you opened on this device. Until you clear site data.
Analytics and measurement (after you accept the US notice, or EU “Accept analytics”)
- First-party events to our servers: page views, product views, searches, outbound affiliate clicks, and similar. A random
affistack_sidin session storage groups those events for one browsing session. - Google Analytics (and Google Ads tags if that ID is configured). Typical cookies include
_ga,_ga_*,_gid, and ads cookies such as_gcl_au. Google sets the lifetime (often up to two years for_ga). See Google Privacy Policy and Google’s cookie types.
Google Consent Mode v2 defaults ad and analytics storage to denied until your stored choice grants them. We do not load extra ad-network pixels (Facebook, TikTok, and the like) as part of using the catalog.
4. Why we use them
- run and secure the Service (session)
- remember that you saw the cookie notice
- show recently viewed products on your device only
- measure which pages and deals are useful, so we can improve the catalog
- attribute a click to AffiStack when you follow an affiliate link (that tracking usually happens on the retailer’s site)
5. Retailer and Amazon cookies
When you click “View on Amazon” or another affiliate button, you leave AffiStack. Amazon and other stores set their own cookies for cart, login, and associate referral credit. Those cookies are governed by the retailer’s policy, not this one. See our Affiliate disclosure.
6. Sale / share (U.S. state privacy laws)
We do not sell personal information for money. Some state laws treat certain advertising or analytics cookies as a “share.” If Google tags run after you dismiss the US notice, you can limit that by blocking cookies as described above. More detail is in the Privacy Policy.
7. How long data stays
Session cookie: until it expires (~30 days) or you sign out. Consent and recently viewed: until you clear storage. Session id: until the browser session ends. Google cookies: per Google’s periods. Server-side analytics events: as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change.
