Privacy Policy
Effective August 17, 2026 · Last updated August 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how AffiStack (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit https://affistack.store, create an account, subscribe to emails, or otherwise use our services.
AffiStack is a product-comparison and deals site. We help you research products and may earn a commission if you buy through our links, at no extra cost to you. See our affiliate disclosure. This policy is provided for transparency and is not legal advice.
1. Who we are
AffiStack operates the website affistack.store. For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected] or use our contact form.
2. Scope
This policy applies to information we collect through the AffiStack website, related emails, and the contact form. It does not apply to retailer websites (including Amazon) that you visit when you click a product or affiliate link. Those companies have their own privacy policies.
3. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account. Email address, name (optional), password (stored as a one-way hash; we cannot read it), language, and region preference.
- Wishlist and price alerts. Products you save and the target price you set, so we can notify you.
- Newsletter. Email address and locale if you subscribe.
- Contact form. Name, email, subject, message, and locale. We send that message to our team using Telegram so we can respond. Telegram handles that content under its own privacy policy.
Information collected automatically
- Session cookie. If you sign in, we set an HTTP-only cookie named
affistack_session(about 30 days) and may store the IP address and user agent with that session for security. - Search logs. When you run a search, we store the query, locale, and number of results so we can operate and improve search. Browsing the catalogue without a query is not logged as a search.
- Analytics (if you accept cookies). We may record page views, product views, searches, outbound affiliate clicks, and similar events, together with a random session ID, path, locale, referrer, user agent, and a hashed IP address (not your raw IP). First-party analytics run only after cookie consent. If Google Analytics or Google Ads tags are configured, they load with Consent Mode v2 defaulting storage to denied until you accept.
- Server and security logs. Standard technical logs (IP address, time, URL, user agent) used to operate and protect the site.
- On-device storage. Cookie preference (
affistack_consent) and recently viewed product IDs in local storage; a session ID (affistack_sid) in session storage for analytics after you agree.
Information we do not collect
We do not collect Social Security numbers, payment card details, bank account numbers, or precise geolocation. Checkout happens on the retailer’s site, not on AffiStack.
4. How we use information
We use information to:
- operate, maintain, and secure the website
- create and authenticate your account
- save wishlists and send price alerts you request
- send the newsletter if you subscribe
- respond to messages you send us
- operate search and improve product pages
- measure traffic and feature use when you accept analytics cookies
- detect spam, fraud, and abuse
- comply with law and enforce our Terms of Use
5. How we disclose information
We do not sell personal information for money. We disclose information only as follows:
- Service providers. Hosting, database, and infrastructure vendors that process data on our instructions.
- Google. If tags are configured and you have accepted analytics cookies, Google may receive usage data for measurement. Google’s privacy policy applies.
- Telegram. Contact-form submissions are delivered via Telegram’s API. See Telegram Privacy Policy.
- Retailers (including Amazon). When you click an affiliate link, you leave AffiStack. We do not transmit your AffiStack account email to Amazon. The retailer collects whatever you submit on their site, plus ordinary referral data. Amazon is an independent business; review Amazon’s privacy notice.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and security, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
Essential cookies keep you signed in, remember your cookie choice, and help protect the site.
US visitors see a cookie notice. Dismissing it with “Got it” allows analytics cookies used to improve the site. You can still block cookies in your browser settings. EEA/UK visitors receive a banner with a reject option; analytics stay off unless they accept.
When you follow links to Amazon or other stores, those sites set their own cookies. Details: Cookie Policy.
7. Analytics and advertising measurement
We use first-party events on our own servers, and may use Google Analytics and Google Ads tags when those IDs are configured. Google Consent Mode v2 defaults ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization, and analytics_storage to denied before any tag runs.
We do not run third-party ad networks that profile you across the web as a condition of using AffiStack. Product links are affiliate links to retailers, not AffiStack display ads.
8. Retention
- Account data: until you request deletion or the account is closed.
- Sessions: until sign-out or expiry (about 30 days).
- Wishlist and alerts: while the account exists.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Contact messages: as needed to handle your request.
- Search logs and analytics: as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service, then deleted or aggregated.
- Server logs: a limited operational period unless a security matter requires longer.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures appropriate to a small web service, including hashed passwords, HTTP-only session cookies, HTTPS in production, and access limited to operators who need it. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please use a unique password and contact us immediately if you believe your account is compromised.
10. Children
AffiStack is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (COPPA). If you believe we have, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
11. Your choices
- Account. Access or update profile information in your account, or email us to correct or delete data.
- Alerts and newsletter. Turn off price alerts in the product; unsubscribe from emails using the link in the message or by contacting us.
- Cookies. Use the cookie notice, or clear cookies and site data in your browser.
- Do not track. We do not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals because there is no consistent industry standard. Cookie controls above are the practical equivalent on this site.
12. U.S. state privacy rights (including California)
If you are a resident of California or another U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law (such as the CCPA/CPRA, VCDPA, CPA, CTDPA, or similar), you may have the right to:
- know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collected
- know the categories of sources, business purposes, and third parties with whom we disclose it
- request deletion, subject to legal exceptions
- request correction of inaccurate information
- opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, where those terms apply
- not be discriminated against for exercising these rights
Categories we may collect: identifiers (email, name, IP address, cookie IDs); commercial information (wishlist and alert preferences); internet or network activity (pages viewed, searches, affiliate clicks); and inferences limited to improving the catalogue (not a credit or hiring profile).
Sources: you; your device and browser; and service providers who process data for us.
Business purposes: providing the service, security, debugging, customer support, analytics with consent, and affiliate attribution when you click a retailer link.
Sale / share. We do not sell personal information for money. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as our business model. If Google measurement tags run after you accept cookies, some state laws might treat that as a “share.” You can limit that by blocking cookies in your browser. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a right to limit under CPRA.
How to submit a request. Email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy request” and enough detail for us to locate your information (the email on your account helps). We will verify the request and respond within the time required by applicable law. You may use an authorized agent as permitted by law; we will take steps to verify authorization.
We do not currently honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as an opt-out mechanism. Use the cookie and email controls in this policy.
13. International visitors
If you access AffiStack from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our providers operate. Those countries may have different data-protection rules than your own. EEA/UK visitors should also read the region-specific terms presented when browsing in an EU locale, including cookie consent with a reject option.
14. Third-party sites and Amazon Associates
AffiStack participates in the Amazon Associates Programme and similar affiliate programmes. Clicking “View on Amazon” or another retailer button takes you to that retailer’s website. We are not responsible for their content, cookies, or privacy practices.
15. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice on the site. Continued use of AffiStack after an update means you have been informed of the revised policy.
