  Size: Large-X-Large The size “L-XL” is accurate for Westerners. I had assumed that it referred to Orientals and that their “L-XL” would fit me. Wrong! “L-XL” is indeed LARGE and intended for large people, which I am not. So I’ve returned it and bought a “Medium” which should fit me better. The size adjustments use zippers—you can change the size by simply zipping/unzipping a panel. The vest is well made and attractive. The light that shows the heat level shows clearly in public; many express envy and say, “I gotta get one of those.” My wife has an older one of these heated vests. It works great, keeps her warm all day. She uses 20,000 mA-Hour batteries; keeps a spare on the charger. For the prejudiced among us (I’m not), the vest has “girl zippers,” that is, the zipper pull is on the left side. Takes a little getting used to but not a problem. EDIT: The “Small/Medium” vest just arrived. With the sizing zippers closed, it fits me perfectly, so I guess I’m “Small” (5 feet 9 inches and 140 pounds). This one has an improvement since my wife got hers a year ago: separate controls for Front and Back! You can set them separately to the 3 heat levels or OFF. You can also use the vest without a battery by plugging it into a handy charger. Warning: Don’t forget to unplug before moving away from the charger! A 20,000 mA-Hour battery fits perfectly in the inside pocket. You have to supply your own battery, which suits us fine as we use the batteries for other things (charging phones, for example). The vest has a standard USB Type A plug, so it fits most batteries. Don’t get a battery that only has USB-C! Smaller batteries can also be used but won’t last as long. Read more 6 people found this

• Stayed warm on a trip to Alaska

  Size: X-Large-XX-Large I bought this for a trip to Alaska in early March (the calendar said it was spring, but it felt like it was still winter). For context, I live in South Florida, so to say that I am not used to cold weather would be an understatement. I think the trip was just that much more enjoyable thanks to this vest. For the most part, temperatures were never above 30°F, and one night we went out to watch the northern lights (which was amazing!), and I found myself standing around outside for a significant amount of time despite a temperature of -22°F. For my Floridian self, the fact that I could even tolerate weather this cold I attribute fully to this heated vest. I saw reviews saying that the vest only lasted a week, however since my Alaska trip was one week long, that was all I needed. I wore it everyday and had no problems with its performance throughout the trip. I will admit that I have not had occasion to wear it again since, and even if it doesn’t work anymore, I would still consider it money well spent for that one week that it was necessary. To be honest, if I do another winter trip in which it could be of use, if it doesn’t work anymore, I will buy a new one. I liked that the size of this vest can be adjusted to accommodate various body shapes, and it fit comfortably and with no issues with any of the zippers (including those used to adjust the size). It was easy to shut off when inside and turn back on when outside again, and it comes with 3 heat settings that were easily changed depending on the temperature and my activity level on any particular day. The price of the vest I found to be quite reasonable, however once adding in the battery pack, the cost did add up. Even so, this was a great investment, and I highly recommend it for anyone who plans to spend any time outside in the winter. *This review was made in good faith based on my personal experience with the product. • The heating zones don't hit thoracic area and can't turn off neck zone

  Size: Large-X-Large As for adjustability, this vest is pretty good. As a female, I needed more room up top than I did on my hips and mid-section. it looked rather masculine on me. I got around this by closing the side zippers on Large, then using 4 medium/large VERY CAREFULLY placed safety pins 2 on each side) on my waist side (to make those areas "medium")....and it looks much for feminine now! I would love to give this 5 stars...unfortunately, it doesn't allow you to turn off the heated zone on the neck (which was a bit too warm for me even on low). I tucked the collar completely under, but the wires run evenly across both sides of the material, so all that did was shift the heat from my neck to my very upper back (again, too warm even on low). If there were a way to allow the user to move the heating elements from the neck and put them into the middle (thoracic) section of the back, I would LOVE this vest! The alternative suggestion would be to allow the user to access the wires (hidden pockets?), so they can disconnect and reconnect certain sections as they would like. That said, I also bought the vinrooni one (which also had the heating elements in the wrong areas, and in much worse placement areas), and this one is thicker and higher quality, but it uses the smaller jacket zippers instead of the large heavy duty zippers that last forever (which the vinrooni one does). Another positive to this one is that the heating elements in the lower back and front pockets are AMAZING for all sorts of lower back AND belly/digestive/feminine cramping. It won't let me give it 4.5 stars, which I believe it deserves. While it could use some work, I would DEFINITELY still recommend it for someone who has osteoarthritis, or is just generally cold. The instructions make it sound more difficult to use than it is (or I never figured out how to use the "auto" mode. I held the button for 3 seconds, and it came on, and I clicked the button once to get to a color, then clicked once again to get to the next color, etc. Red was too hot for me...so I liked to rotate it between blue (medium), and green (low).   I just bought this and so far it is keeping on par with my another branded vest that I have. That is the good part. The bad part is this doesn't come with a battery which makes this a lot more expensive than it should be. At $37.99, this should have a battery. Its comfortable and the heating elements are decently placed. It does have that puffy look but it also has zipped sides to allow some expansion or tightening up. The size seems right, I have a medium and it fits well. Its light and quality seems good so far. I've only had this for a few days, so I will update this. 9 people found this

The 3 settings let you decide what kind of temperature you need but the higher you have the setting, the quicker your power bank will lose battery. The pockets are warm, the neck is warm, and all up and down your back and front. The other awesome part about this vest is it's adjustable so it fits most people, and if you want to wear lots of layers underneath or if you want it to hug you and only have 1 layer under the vest then you can really make it work for anything.   Size: Small-Medium This heated gilet is a game changer. I've an outdoors life-style and I live in this all winter. I've now probably recommended it to about a dozen friends who are also unanimously delighted with theirs and wear theirs all the time. The USB connection means I can just pop any power bank on to keep going all day if I want and I'm not relying on a power pack that's only compatible with a particular connector. The gilet isn't bulky and the shiny material means it sits nicely under another layer or jacket without feeling restrictive. It heats up really quick and then I tend to drop the heating level down to medium or low or even turn it off for a bit cause I'm so toasty so the battery packs easily last several hours. You don't need a more expensive heated gilet, this is a great quality product and will make you warm and happy! The product says women's gilet but I've got friends who are guys who wear it and are super happy with the fit too.
